Couple of questions re So....

On the main web page it says Arts & Craft market on Sunday is in Tower Gardens.....but when you click on 'programme' it says its at Xsite...anyone know where its actually goin to be?

...and where exactly Transe Express will be, says outside the theatre so are they closing grand parade off?...same with Plasticiens Volants?

Take it know one knows then.....

I think there are going to be limited road closures during the events. I do not know any more detail sorry.

The Arts Market is in Tower gardens between 1-6pm on Sunday 25th July

Also, Transe Express on Friday night will take place on Tower Esplanade, but it is an ariel show, so will be seen from various locations, including around the clock tower etc

Plasticiens Volants is a parade which moves from Skegness Town Hall, along Grand Parade, with the finale taking place around the Clock Tower

trust me You will Transe Express from most places in Skegness, they will take your breath away, saw them at DerbyFeste last year and WOW

Is that Saturday night?

Edit, just checked, that is Saturday night, and it sounds good. Though I'm a little disapointed at the lack of any kind of build up for the big switch on. No mention of Fireworks etc.

I think the switch on this year will not be a big event but the lights will switch on while the giant animals pass down the seafront. It will be spectacular.

A pro/unsponsored skateboarding competition, prizes available plus £1000 up for grabs! £10 entry fee to skate, £2 spectators



1.30pm: Kirsten O'Brien, Embassy Theatre
CBBC's Kirsten O'Brien will be holding an interactive art workshop at the Embassy Theatre.

4 - 5pm: Bash Street Theatre perform The Station, Tower Gardens

5.30pm – 9pm: Dance through the Decades at The Embassy Theatre.
Ballroom dancing and ceilidh for all ages to enjoy. (Free entry, but tickets required from Embassy Theatre box office)

7pm - 10pm: Live Art Show
featuring live art battle, breakdance performances and DJ set performed by the Internationally renowned SINCRU.
£3 entry


10 - 11pm: Plasticiens Volants perform Pearl
Skegness will be turned into an aquatic wonderland, when Plasticiens Volants bring massive inflatable sea creatures and giant marine puppets to transform the Skegness skyline.

Sunday 25th July
All day: Traffic Art, Tower Esplanade


10am - 6pm: Street Art and Break Dance Workshops, XSite.
Staged throughout the day.
£2 per workshop or £5 all day.

1 - 6pm: SO...Chilled, Tower Gardens
The last day of the SO Festival 2010 sees an afternoon of Music in the Park with a fantastic lineup of local musicians:

West End star Lee Mead will close the festival in style with a performance at the Embassy Theatre. Lee rose to fame after winning the BBC's Any Dream Will Do.

Thank for finding out for me too Admin.. although i see in the bit that VM posted that it says the craft thingy is at xsite..like it does on website..just hope its on Tower Gardens cos cant be bothered to go up to xsite.
Definatly going on both Fri & Sat nites...and to Tower gardens on Sunday aft. I checked out Elliot Morris n co on Myspace and they sound really good..no offence to brass band enthusiasts but so good to see er..'younger' ....acoustic music for a change... would be good to have young up n coming bands on there too sometimes...

Ohh...and when are all these plastic (sorry, rubber) ducks spose to be on the pond?

Do they have this festival every year ?

Last year was the first one Amy and looks like its going to be a regular thing....hope so anyway cos its so good to see all the different things on offer now
